NT Rama Rao’s birth centenary celebrations will have to start today without the unveiling of his statue resembling Lord Krishna in the middle of a Khammam lake as the permission given by the state government has been suspended by the Telangana high court.
The statue was proposed to be set up in the midst of Lakkaram lake in Khammam with the help of Telugu Association of North America (TANA).
However, Justice K Lakshman stopped the installation of the statue in Lakkaram lake after hearing pleas by some Yadava organisations.
