Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, will be released on January 25. The action film has gained a lot of attention because of Salman Khan’s appearance as Tiger, which kicks off YRF’s espionage universe, which also stars Hrithik Roshan from WAR.
Hrithik Roshan Is NOT A Part Of Pathaan
Fans will have to wait a little longer for Hrithik to join the franchise. Contrary to popular belief, Hrithik will not appear in Pathaan, which opens on Wednesday. According to a source, “Bringing all three together in the first installment of the espionage franchise is pointless. It will be interesting to watch how they interact in the last installment of the franchise.”
However, we will undoubtedly see Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan collab, and according to insiders, the two will engage in some interesting banter.
Pathaan is expected to make between Rs 45 and 50 crore at the box office, based on the enthusiastic response of moviegoers in pre-booking.
According to YRF, around 25 theatres that were closed because of COVID-19 are reopening for Pathaan owing to the exceptional excitement.
Pathaan will be Shah Rukh Khan’s first film since Zero, directed by Aanand L Rai in 2018.
‘Pathaan’ Will Break Some Records
Pathaan, in addition to plexes, is revitalising the long-shut single-screen theatres, particularly in the North. It’s just been a day since the film’s debut, and its popularity is growing by the day. According to estimates, the top multiplex chains in the country have already sold over 4 lacs tickets.
Not only that, but Pathaan’s advance booking figure is so large that many films struggle to even match it throughout its run at the box office. Even before its release, the film is predicted to gross in the region of 55-60 crore in its first weekend in India.
