Ranbir Kapoor Beats Hrithik Roshan In Star Ranking With His Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar

Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s latest romantic comedy, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, has achieved a milestone by crossing the 100 crore mark in net collections at the Indian box office. The film, which hit theaters on February 18, managed to accomplish this feat in just 11 days, making it one of the fastest films to cross this mark in recent times.

However, what makes this achievement even more significant is that it has helped Ranbir Kapoor surpass Hrithik Roshan in Box Office Star Ranking. Box Office Star Ranking Index, also known as Star Ranking, allots points to actors based on the box office performance of their films in different categories such as the 100 crore club and 200 crore club. Actors receive 100 points for a film that enters the 100 crore club, and 50 points for a film that makes it to the top 10 overseas grossers.

Prior to the success of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Ranbir Kapoor was in the 8th position on Box Office Star Ranking with 800 points, trailing behind Hrithik Roshan, who had 900 points to his credit. However, the 100 crore milestone of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar added another 100 points to Ranbir’s tally, thereby pushing him up to the 7th position and displacing Hrithik Roshan to the 8th position.

To put things into perspective, Ranbir Kapoor’s highest-grossing film, Sanju, has a net collection of 341.22 crores, which is more than Hrithik Roshan’s highest-grossing film, War, with a net collection of 319 crores. Thus, as per Box Office Star Ranking parameters, Ranbir Kapoor is placed higher than Hrithik Roshan.

It is worth noting that Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is unlikely to cross the 200 crore mark in net collections in India, meaning that Ranbir Kapoor will have to wait until the release of his next film, Animal, to improve his ranking on the Star Power Index. As for Hrithik Roshan, he will have to wait until the release of his upcoming film, Fighter, to make a comeback on the Star Ranking list.

Overall, the success of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has been a significant milestone for Ranbir Kapoor, both in terms of his box office performance and his position on the Box Office Star Ranking. The film has been received positively by audiences and critics alike, and its success bodes well for Ranbir Kapoor’s future projects.
