About Jailer
Jailer is an Indian Tamil language action crime thriller film, released on 10 August 2023. The film is written and directed by Nelson and produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures. It stars Rajinikanth in the lead role along with Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Mirna Menon and Tamannaah Bhatia.
The film follows Muthuvel Pandian (Rajinikanth), a strict yet empathetic jailer who learns that a gang is trying to rescue their leader from the prison. He sets out to stop them, but finds himself in a race against time as the gang’s plans become more and more elaborate.
