Tara Singh and Sakina have announced their return. On Wednesday, the makers of Gadar 2 released the long-awaited trailer of the sequel to Anil Sharma’s 2001 blockbuster cross-border action romance. In this sequel, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel reprise their memorable roles, and Anil’s son, Utkarsh Sharma, is also part of the film.

In the Gadar 2 trailer, Tara and Sakina’s son, Jeete (Utkarsh), is shown being tortured by a Pakistani General. Tara promises a grief-stricken Sakina that he will bring Jeete back. He goes to Lahore and beats up Pakistani soldiers with a hammer. The trailer ends with Tara pumping a hand pump, hinting at what might happen next.
The trailer of Gadar 2 was released on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas. It was launched in a grand event attended by Anil Sharma, Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Sharik Patel, Simrat Kaur, Mithun, Alka Yagnik, Jubin Nautiyal, and Aditya Narayan.
