Shehzada Box Office Day 1

On its opening day, Shehzada grossed 6 crores at the box office, performing particularly well in mass areas. The film is a family-oriented entertainer that incorporates traditional family values and has a 70s/80s style masala vibe to it. The movie’s footfall was notably higher in the interior regions.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: “Shehzada disappoints on Day 1, despite buy-one-get-one-free offer… National chains ordinary, mass circuits dull… Maha Shivratri holiday on Day 2 may improve biz, but needs bigger jumps for a respectable weekend total… Fri ₹ 6 cr [+/-]. India biz.”

The film faced competition from Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and the well-established film “Pathaan,” particularly in major cities. However, the family entertainer with a 70s/80s masala feel performed better in mass pockets and interiors, where it had elements around family values. The film needs to see significant growth over the weekend to have a respectable weekend total. Saturday should see some jump owing to the Mahashivratri holiday, and a double-digit collection today would help the film for a much better Sunday.
